A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM

ART J. McCOY, PH.D.

As a national education leader and chief executive, World Wide Technology Raceway has been a vital partner to expose our youth to STEM through the physics, marketing, advanced manufacturing, and fun of professional racing with experts in the industry. Raceway Gives helps to expand these amazing learning opportunities to youth and people of various cultures and means, some of whom would not otherwise have such opportunities to learn, grow, and envision themselves as professionals in this field.

There’s no better place for young people to come, learn, actually drive from ages 8 to 18, and gain real life experiences in racing.

Raceway Gives demonstrates that anything is possible when great people come together to do great things like provide career pathways, STEM experiences, and professional mentors to youth.

Thank you for investing in our future by supporting today.

SUCCESS STORIES

WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT US ...

I’ve been fortunate in that racing has always been a part of my life. I started racing quarter midgets at age 6, advanced to 120 mile per hour open-wheel midgets by age 11 and then began winning in several racing programs at the Gateway Kartplex. Most recently, I have been presented with opportunities to race both USAC Silver Crown and ARCA Super Late Models against many of the sport’s top drivers. In my 15 year career, I’ve experienced everything from racing on a 1/12th mile oval all the way to running wide-open at more than 170 miles per hour on a 1.25 mile oval.
What Raceway Gives has allowed me to do so far has been nothing short of amazing. With these funds, I have been able to race in spectacular locations around the world on some really iconic tracks including New Zealand and the United Kingdom. I carried the Raceway Gives logo on my car in the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing New Zealand championship where, with the coaching of my engineer, the expertise of my mechanic and the support of my team owners, I was able to achieve as a Rookie the "Most Improved Driver of the Year" award.
I spent my early years developing my race craft and pushing myself to learn new karts, cars, and tracks. My focus has paid off as I continue to push forward with every new season. There have been many people in my life dedicated to helping me grow in the sport of racing. I am grateful to Raceway Gives to have been awarded the opportunity to do the same for other young people interested in motorsports. I consider myself ‘hands-on’ and like to get involved and build different things. I have a great relationship with the younger kart racers at the Gateway Kartplex and like to work with them on and off the track.

THERE ARE SO MANY WAYS TO GIVE ...
